Pushkar, Rajasthan:
Two weeks after my return from Himachal Pradesh, I joined a couple of friends for a day trip to Pushkar.
Since my last visit to the holy town in January (see here), construction of the cable car up to the Savitri Temple was completed enabling nice views across tiny Pushkar. In the next hours, we strolled around the lake and enjoyed the comparatively relaxed atmosphere.
On the following weekend, I left Jaipur again and took the train to visit the magnificent and ancient temples of Khajuraho – check out the coming post!
Lovely pano shots. The town looks calm and peaceful
thank you! I find, Pushkar has indeed a very calm and peaceful atmosphere (except maybe during the camel fair?!)…
You are absolutely right. Pushkar fair is all rush rush
hehe – I have never been there, I cannot comment on that! 🙂
