Greece 2017 (part VIII): Arachova

Arachova, Greece:

Bell Tower in Arachova

On the way from Delphi to Athens, the bus stopped shortly in Arachova.

Arachova is a small town clinging to the slopes of Mount Parnassus (2457 m). Most of the year, the village has not much to offer except nice views across the countryside and a couple of souvenir shops. During the winter months, however, Arachova is a popular base for winter sports enthusiasts visiting the nearby Parnassos Ski Centre.

After a short stroll along the main street, the bus took me back to Athens from where I would leave home to Germany. Unfortunately, my 5-day holiday in Greece was already finished.
