Jaipur, Rajasthan:
Following the walks through the city centre of Jaipur and the small town of Amber, I visited the temples of Galtaji together with a friend.
We started our sightseeing at the beautiful Sisodia Rani Garden which seems to be one of Jaipur’s hidden gems. I had visited the ancient pilgrimage site of Galtaji already in April, but now after the first rains the whole scenery looked much more lovely with green grass and bushes covering the hills. The monkeys were also very active jumping into the water of the ponds – a nice sight.
After this short but enjoyable morning excursion, we returned back to the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Following these weeks in Jaipur, I finally left town again at the end of July for a weekend trip to Rishikesh and Haridwar.
Beautiful photos, Matthias, and wonderful looks from a distance and close-up of Galtaji. I love seeing the map too, where we are. The monkeys must’ve been fun to watch.
thank you! I really had a good day there!
