Khichan is a tiny village in western Rajasthan, which is visited by several thousand Demoiselle Cranes during the winter months. The birds are fed by the villagers since the 1970s and over the years their numbers increased considerably. In my last post, you saw some photographs – here you can see the cranes in action:
I used my Canon 60D and Sigma 120-400 mm lens for most of the clips. Later on, I did some poor amateur editing with Adobe After Effects. I hope you like the video!
I saw this crane last year, captive, at the Crane Center in Wisconsin, and fell in love with it. So elegant and sleek. It has been such a pleasure to see this huge mass of them migrating, Matthias, thanks so much for the photos in your previous post, and the video here. Their sound is much like the sandhill crane we have in the U.S. Wonderful series and much appreciated.
thank you so much for your comment! Great to hear that you liked the photos and video!! 🙂
