Swakopmund, Namibia:
After a seemingly endless drive along the Skeleton Coast, we finally arrived in Swakopmund.
Swakopmund is Namibia’s fourth largest city (slightly above 40,000 inhabitants) and characterized by German colonial architecture. One of its oldest buildings is the Woermann House constructed in 1894 and offering nice views across the city from its tower.
We spent only one night in Swakopmund before heading towards the tiny settlement of Homeb deep inside the vast Namib Desert.
Nice 🙂
thank you! 🙂
I love Swakopmund!! Such a quaint city – sometimes you feel like you’re in a European town just from the architecture!
yes – unfortunately, we spent only very few hours in Swakopmund before heading back into the desert!
Sorry if not actually a city it’s more a Town
But it’s a wonderful place I’m living here for 7 months now I am a Namibian and thank you
haha – thank you for your comment! I can imagine that Swakopmund feels like a sleepy little town, but with more than 40,000 inhabitants, I guess that you could technically call it a city… but I am definitely not here to argue! 😉
😂😜
