Namibia 2007 (part XII): Waterberg National Park

Waterberg National Park, Namibia:

After our adventures in southern Namibia, we returned all the way north to the Waterberg National Park.

The Waterberg National Park encompasses the prominent table mountain of the same name elevated high above the plains of the Kalahari. Prominent species such as rhinos find a refuge here, however, we only saw their footprints during our early morning safari. Instead we came across a large group of giraffes with several curious young ones observing us intently.

After our short stop at the Waterberg, we continued our wildlife watching at the world-famous Etosha National Park where we would spend six fantastic days.
