African Elephant in Tarangire National Park

After visiting Arusha National Park with its exceptional landscape, I traveled to Tarangire National Park famous for its vast groups of elephants.

Particularly in the dry season, thousands of animals enter Tarangire National Park to find water and vegetation to feed on. Although my visit was in December and the first rains had already reached the area, the countryside was still teeming with wildlife. Apart from the abundant elephants, zebras, wildebeests, and impalas, I was happily surprised by two lions wandering through the tall grass. Another beautiful sight was a curious Kirk’s Dik-Dik posing for my camera before dashing off into a thicket.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Tarangire National Park and was impressed by the large number of African Elephants. In the late afternoon, we left the park and continued the journey to Karatu near Lake Eyasi – our destination for the following day.
